Can My Pet Eat Pumpkin?

Fall is finally here, and so is pumpkin this, and pumpkin that!

Ranging from pumpkin bread, pumpkin latte, pumpkin frappucinno, pumpkin cake, pumpkin dog treats, pumpkin dog halloween costumes!
You name it, and most likely everyone has your pumpkin wants and needs.

The great thing about this fruit, beside the fact that it is just simply delicious and fun to carve, it is safe for our four legged loved ones!

It is an excellent source of fiber and moisture! It is made up of 90% water and can help your pet release if they are constipated. Also has great nutrients and vitamins!  Click here for more information.

How can you introduce pumpkin to your pet?
You can add some in your pets dry food or even make delicious treats.
Just make sure when you mix it with their food, that you research the appropriate amount for your pets body weight.

A very simple and easy treat recipe I recently made for my dogs include:
1 can of pumpkin
1 egg
 1 cup wheat flour
Pinch of cinnamon

Simply, mix well together then roll dough to desired thickness.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30minutes and voila!

Also, another easy and quick recipe, is to add pumpkin in an ice cube tray, freeze it, and let your pet enjoy! They will love the coldness and the taste!

Hope you are able to try these awesome treats and let me know how you dog or cat loves it!

Please, reblog, comment and share!
